I'll stick with 3 stars because I truly believe you simply need to change, staff, cook and suppliers. Came multiple times as I live in the neighborhood and I wanted to give this place a try and here is a recap over my various visits: - once the cook had not showed up so they just did not serve food - another time the cook would only arrive at 7pm - once the steak had not been delivered - once the cook forgot the extra cheese I asked and when returned my plate he had obviously simply grilled a piece of cheese on the side and added it in. Come on, you mess up, you redo... The food is not great quality that is certain but it does the job. The fact that I wasn't even asked how I wanted my steak cooked on this occasion is disappointing. The waitress is scared of dogs... In a dog friendly place. The fact that this place is not too busy is nice and relaxing. Overall and as a neighbour, could you make the menu more interesting? Is it possible to have a visit that goes well ? Price per person: £20–30

Hey whoever is reading this 100% needs to visit this place when they visit Edinburgh. Us Aussies were lost when ordering which beer we wanted, one bar tender (male) let us try some beer and we landed on one, which was perfect. The food was absolutely perfect, we had a Steak and Ale Pie which was heavenly, also we had one allergy in our party and they accommodated to us very well, they gave us an order tablet and made it very known on the order we received that there was a clear allergy. Thank you to this amazing pub/restaurant for being us feel at ease. Love the Aussies xx Price per person: £10–20

Very recently re-opened under new management and with a freshly painted burgundy exterior, The Murrayfield Bar & Kitchen has great food and a nice selection of beers. The staff were excellent and we walked away stuffed ordering a couple of starters and a share plate. Definitely worth popping in to grab a beer and a bite to eat. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Haggis, Mac n Cheese, and more
