We booked a six night stay at Murray's, only to be told by the bar staff that there is NO guest parking!!! It clearly states on Booking.com that there's parking available for guests. We were told that there 'maybe' parking after 2/3am - once the staff have left! The bar staff directed us to a public pay car park opposite the hotel. My god, it's rougher than a badger's backside. Shared with a very dodgy looking snooker club. Bargoed itself is a DUMP! Most of the shops are closed/boarded up. If you want to stay somewhere decent - don't go to Murray's. Service: 1 Price per person: £100+ Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid parking lot Parking: Opposite a snooker club and sports bar. No wonder they give customers ear plugs! Wheelchair accessibility: Not a chance in hell!!!

Hi David Thank you for your feedback. We do have a small car park at the rear but as it does state on booking.com this is based on a first come first served basis and is used by guests, visitors & customers.Unfortunately we have no control over the appearance of Bargoed town and we have been in many disputes with the council to improve our local area especially when we are a family run business trying to give back to our local community. We also have no control over surrounding businesses and their noise level but we can lighten it by supplying ear plugsWe hope you visit us again soon

Absolutely superb hospitality tday from murrays went down for the cup final Liverpool v Chelsea 20 + boys from up rhymney area greeted with a load of food at half time virtually a cooked dinner for us all not seen nothing like it Absolutely superb welcome unreal thanks a lot

Comfortable seating and plenty of choice on the menu. However the service is mediocre as the staff serve your meal but don't follow up or check on you.
We had to wave like lunatics for everything we wanted to attract their attention.
They don't look after their tables as they should
Steak knives should be provided as the norm for any meat dishes,as the ones laid on tables wouldn't cut butter. These are little things but important to how you enjoy the experience.
