We ate at Nando's Inverness on Tuesday 23rd June and had the unfortunate incident of our waiter spilling a full glass of coca cola over one of us. While we got an apology and it was cleaned up there was no follow up acknowledgement from them or management team that we had to continue eating our meal covered in a sticky mess. We even had to remind them that we needed a new glass. While I understand accidents happened I do not think we were adequately compensated or checked in after the incident. Potentially because of the embarrassment I felt we were ignored for the rest of the time there. We were heading to the cinema after our meal which meant we had to purchase clean clothes to wear which was unforeseen budget spent that ruined the rest of the evening to be honest. I called Nando’s Inverness in advance to ask whether their chicken was halal, and although it unfortunately wasn’t, I was genuinely impressed by the manager’s professionalism and kindness. Rather than simply answering my question, she took the time to understand my needs and even suggested alternative halal options nearby, which is incredibly helpful given how limited halal choices are in the Highlands. Her awareness, understanding, and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out. She was courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely accommodating throughout the conversation. Excellent customer service like this makes a lasting impression, and it’s exactly the kind of management every restaurant should have. A huge thank you to her for being so helpful and considerate.
