Truly wonderful a dinning experience. Food was exceptional. Everything cooked to perfection. Presently with the care only a lover of food who truly cares about your enjoyment. We were made to feel like family and never wanted for service. We never once were rushed and if we didn't have plans earlier we could have spend more time. Maybe even a ouzo or and espresso. We accidentally found this place whilst looking for something light to eat and it was by far the best place I have experienced in Edinburgh. The fact this is family run with mum in the kitchen making the incredible food just made everything even better Food: absolutely unbelievable, we tried the Cheese Filo Pastry, Stuffed Pita and Zucchini Fries. Everything was just delicious, definitely fresh and prepared with love and attention. The cocktails sounded very interesting and like nothing we had heard of before so we tried some, and they were so good we ended up trying most of the menu! Ask them about their process for making the lemon cheesecake cocktail, it’s so interesting! Service: incredible. The fact this is family run with mum in the kitchen, brother and sister out front just made everything even better. Everyone was so friendly and happy to have a chat. The best service I’ve had in any restaurant for a very long time. Atmosphere: the decor is lovely and classy, the general vibes are joyful and warm, no complaints. This will be a staple for us to visit every time we are in Edinburgh! Thanks for your lovely review (and photos), Lauren We agree with you - everything tastes better when it’s prepared by mum! “Our mum” sneaks in a splash of love in every dish that leaves the kitchen. We’re so happy you embraced your curiosity and tried a Nectar cocktail (and then most of the menu!!) Each one has an unexpected twist or twang that makes your tastebuds sing. Our bartenders are constantly whipping up new creations, so hopefully on your next visit you’ll have another new masterpiece to try. Hope to see you soon!!!

I recently visited Nectar and honestly had such a great experience. The atmosphere was warm, stylish, and relaxed, making it a perfect spot for both a casual dinner and drinks with friends. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food and cocktails were outstanding — everything was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The menu had a really unique touch, and you can tell a lot of thought goes into both the dishes and the overall dining experience. Definitely one of my favourite places in Edinburgh now, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing food, great drinks, and a lovely vibe in the city. Can’t wait to come back!
