Unfortunately I'm having to write this due to what must be poor management decisions. 3 staff on in a place so large on the last day of the Great Yorkshire Show, 2 in the bar and 1 in the kitchen!!! We were warned there would be a 20 minute wait for food, we waited 50 minutes then were told it would be another 20 minutes. I felt sorry for the staff on duty and the poor chef in the back, the place wasn't even busy. Not Impressed.

This place is fantastic the staff are amazingly friendly and professional and the food and drink are excellent and well priced. Parking is great and plenty of it. On winters nights with the open fires going you would be mad to stay at home for you tea when you can relax in the nelson inn while someone else sorts out your outstanding food. Best of all someone else even does the washing up. Well done Nelson inn see you again very soon
