Nice café concept with books and a cozy atmosphere. However, the seating isn’t very comfortable and it gets quite loud and busy, so it’s not the best place to relax with a book and coffee. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

This is a great idea, but can feel very cramped on a busy day. The staff are lovely. The pricing of books. Is fair. However, the iced drinks we had were awful, I should have walked away when a staff member asked “can we make this iced?”

I really love this place and was impressed by their wine selection but I was disappointed by how they store and guarantee the wine and ultimately decided not to buy any bottles. Specifically, I was told that all of the wine - both those on display in the front and those in the back storage - had been stored upright for 12+ months (big risk of the cork drying out) and not in a temperature controlled environment (risk of temperature fluctuations especially during Toronto's heat waves). Unfortunately, the staff informed me that, if I purchased a takeaway bottle that turned out to be bad, they would not replace it. With most wines I'm not too concerned, but Neverland uniquely has a great selection of older vintages at $200+ price points and I felt the risk was too high that they'd be corked, with no recourse in case they were.
