Had a birthday meal in Durham ,was recommended this restaurant by a work colleague. Great had chicken wings , really good. I ordered a burger with fries and onion rings on the side. When it came onion rings where hot fresh out and burger was cold chips where luke warm . I asked if was supposed to be served hot as it was cold. The waitress then proceed to place her finger on the burger and tell me it wad cold. I then waited fo a wile , it got to the point where my wife had finished her meal and I hadn't had a main meal . I then said we had to leave as we had to go to a show . I was disappointed and hungry. As it was a my birthday meal. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60

Poor poor service. Visited this evening for a quiet drink before an event at the Cathedral. On arrival we were told its table service whilst sat outside and someone will come and take our order. After a lengthy wait, no one came so went inside to be told, it’s table service but there’s a bit of a wait. A Bit of a wait alright!!! while 5 members of staff gathered round the bar inside watching Tik Tok videos, leaving 1 female member of staff to cover all tables.. Needless to say we and other people waiting to be served got up and left. First and last time I’ll visit Notch Americano, zero stars for service!! Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Other

Hi Keith, thank you for your review, after evaluating your review and after management have reviewed the camera footage, we do apologise that the service was slow as we have one bartender on for a lot of people, and it was a very busy day, but we can say that none of the girls were on their phones watching TikTok, because all of them had the ordering pads which we provide them which may look like phones to you, but it’s what we take our orders on. We apologise you were unhappy with the service. Sometimes this cannot be held while we are waiting for drinks to be made or food to come out especially on a busy day hopefully you will come and attend us again, as we would like to change your mind on the venue.Thank you again for your review team Notch
