O Ribatejo is one of a few restaurants offering Portugese cuisine in the city and doing well on Melton Road. While Melton Road is better known for Asian food, this is worth checking out. With screens knocking out football, this busy restaurant has a strong vibe for couples, families and groups. Fish, veggie and meat dishes are abundant in a large menu. We had the beans to start and these were very nice. The draught Super Bock was properly decent also. Then we had prawns with bread before the deluxe banquet. This came in a crazy huge boat and we loved it. Food was decent enough and cooked well. Plenty of garlic and flavour in the little sauces too. Im not sure whether the authentic box might be ticked for some though. The chips were very good to be fair. Service was attentive in this popular eatery and we were served pretty quickly given the size or order. One off or the best portuguese estaurant in the Midlands. Food and atmosphere is excellent, made me feel in Portugal. I definitely go back
