Absolutely lovely stay for two nights. Staff very friendly locals friendly had two great nights singing dancing. breakfast was spot on. No bother if you wanted something different bed was comfortable room spotless . Thankyou for welcoming us .love from the Eatwell family and Sutton family

I recently had a meal at The Oak Tree Inn, and while the overall experience was pleasant, the food itself was a bit inconsistent. Some dishes were enjoyable, others missed the mark, and the pricing felt a little high for the quality. The classic burger was decent, but the combination didn’t quite work. A burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sweet chilli sauce is a strange choice for something advertised as "classic." The sweet chilli sauce just didn’t fit with the rest of it, though that may be a personal preference. The pizza was disappointing. The dough was chewy and dry, which made it quite underwhelming. The chips, while clearly frozen, were at least hot and crispy, which is about as much as you can ask from a basic side. The onion rings, on the other hand, were excellent - easily the best thing I ate. The mac and cheese loaded chips with bacon were fine, nothing remarkable but perfectly pleasant. The real highlight of the visit was the staff and service. The team were friendly, welcoming, and efficient, and the food arrived quickly. That definitely added to the experience in a positive way. The only real drawback is the pricing. Some items feel overpriced for what they are, especially when a portion of frozen chips is priced at £4.50. The location and setting mean they can charge a premium, but knocking a couple of pounds off each dish would bring the prices more in line with the quality. All in all, it was a good experience. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but I also wouldn’t hesitate to stop by again if I were in the area. Considering the lovely staff and good service, I’d rate The Oak Tree Inn at 7.4 out of 10.
