I gave Ocean Garden a try as they are the highest rated fish and chip shop in the Reading area, and they certainly didn’t disappoint - excellent food and service and good value. Perfectly cooked crisp chips which look to have been hand cut. A good size piece of quality cod cooked freshly to order with a really nice crisp batter. Fish and chips at its very best. Cod, chips and mushy peas cost £11.50 (cash only) and the portion sizes were good for the price. A real little hidden gem of a chip shop that looks like it hasn’t changed in years - and I hope it doesn’t change any time soon either. Highly recommend even if it’s out of your way - the food is well worth it and I will definitely be back when in the area. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5
