Guaranteed us they had Sunday menu when we booked, only for us to arrive and be told they were not offering Sunday roasts and only the "limited menu". We had travelled based on their own confirmation. We went across the road to The Eliot Arms and they accommodated us as walk-ins, thankfully. Would NOT recommend. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Unfortunately, depsite the guarantee, nothing in life is guaranteed and the head chef unfortunately lost his grandad and was attending the funeral and wake some distance away, meaning we had to make last minute changes to the menu choices. Attempts were made to make you aware of this change, our apologies if this message didnt get to you, as you will see from previous reviews this is an isolated incident. We feel this review is unfair as you didnt try the food we had on offer, yet rated us a 1 star, you didnt stay yet rated us a 1 star for atmosphere and again, you never got to experience our service, yet again a 1 star.

The Old George Inn is a lovely pub with a really nice ambience that makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service throughout the visit. I had the steak pie, and it was absolutely amazing—full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and incredibly filling. A truly satisfying meal that I’d highly recommend. Overall, a fantastic pub experience and definitely worth a visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £50–60
