They served frozen vegetables and barely any scallops for 48$. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50

Dear Matthew, thank you for your review. The dish you ordered "Canadian Atlantic Salmon & Scallops" came with a 6 oz filet of salmon and 2 scallops (1 oz each) on a Chardonnay sauce and mashed potatoes, as stated on the menu. I’m the owner and responsible for the kitchen, cooking for over 40 years and have never served frozen vegetables. Hope to welcome you another time, and would be happy to give you a tour of the kitchen and show you that quality means the most to us.

We loved it here! The natural stone and moody atmosphere was nicely off-set by the inviting patio and picturesque back drop off the lake. This is a perfect spot for your highlight or special occasions meal while in the area. The food itself was DELICIOUS. The desserts were tempting, but we ordered a second appetizer to wrap up the evening. Always a treat to see such variety in spirits available, there were 5 or 6 choices for Port alone! We look forward to coming back! The beef dishes in particular were truly exceptional, and every vegetable was cooked so perfectly they didn't require thoughtful pairing and 'covering up' to enjoy. We had a great experience at On the Rocks, we enjoyed the food, the owner and chef Gunnar came by several times, Holly the sommelier provided excellent recommendations on the wine selection. One of the best cellars in the Ottawa area and a great view of the lake. Worth the trip to Calabogie. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+
