One of the best fish I have ever had, perfectly salted and grilled. Also had a number of small plates, all of which were really tasty, especially the tuna. Great flavours all round. Really good service and attentive staff, good recommendation on wine too. They knew it was an anniversary and sorted something out for us even though we were too full for dessert. The burger was absolutely stellar. I live in New York and there’s a British restaurant called Lord’s that does a similar thing - an off menu, limited to 12 a night Welsh rarebit cheeseburger with and onion base - people go on the same quest to try to be one of the lucky ones each night. Having had both, I can tell you yours is the best (and as a Brit I’m very pleased with that). The patty is perfectly cooked, rich and flavourful; the use of Gorgonzola adds an amazing kick to the bite; and the soaking of the onions in champagne is a subtly that elevates it to a whole new level. The green salad was also very nice, especially the house dressing- I wish I could use that on all my own salads. I had the walnut old fashioned, which was fantastic. The service was also top notch, my man was very patient and helpfully explained the menu question I had. The ambiance was amazing too, with a light airy space. It was a beautiful summer day and the front of the inside was open, creating the perfect vibe. Thank you for an incredible experience!
