We had dinner and it was really lovely the staff was really friendly and helpful we had some authentic Japanese foods it was the nicest we have eaten and my girlfriend really enjoyed it too she's been to Japan many times and confirmed that the taste was authentic. We have eaten in London and derby at different Japanese restaurants and this was the nicest place we have been too The atmosphere was wonderful not too Loud as we can talk and both hear eachother and very spacious The food was really delicious and the service was lovely really friendly and welcoming they have a little shop at the side where you can pick up different Japanese food items we will definitely be eating here again Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20

Had lunch last Saturday at Origami and absolutely loved it. We had the Teryaki Chicken and the Grilled Eel which were equally delicious. What was even more pleasing was that the owners have not compromised their authenticity of cooking and 'westernised' the dishes. Also, the decor is simple but stylish and relaxing and even better that they have a small 'supplies' shop in the front for stocking up on those items that make a meal just a 'little bit more tasty'. However, best to note that this is not a sushi/sashimi restaurant so if that's all your looking for this is not the restaurant for you, but if you like Japanese flavours and the style of cooking, this restaurant is highly recommended.
