We had a fantastic meal at Megumi Sushi! Everything we ordered was delicious – the sashimi was incredibly fresh, the sushi was excellent, and the hot dishes were just as impressive. The crab legs were amazing, and even the cucumber kimchi was packed with flavour. We ordered quite a lot between just the two of us, but the service was incredibly friendly, attentive, and impressively fast throughout. As a lovely surprise, the staff even brought us a complimentary waffle with ice cream to help celebrate my PhD being awarded, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the evening even more special. Great food, generous hospitality, and a wonderful and albeit atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back! Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Driven by here plenty of times but always undermined it as a ‘high street’ restaurant. Was amazed at how good the food and service was and can’t wait to go back. Vegetable tempura and spider crab sushi were fantastic. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is local gem, especially if you like Japanese food (and some Korean dishes too). First of all, the lunch menu offers a range of bento boxes that are full of tasty items (e.g., chicken or pork katsu or salmon, plus a full set of accompaniments), and also you can order sushi, nigiri etc. There are also excellent donburis as well - salmon, eel etc. I usually go for a starter, and their K-Slaw is a delight. The chef clearly has skills! The evening menu is essentially the same as lunch, minus the bento boxes. I can particularly recommend any of the sashimi, nigiri and "rolls" (the picture is of the Tiger Roll). Presentation of the food is top notch, and the staff are wonderfully welcoming. As well as dining in, you can order collection. Overall, a first rate restaurant, and certainly one of the best in the area.
