Spa review from a previous member: Pros: - New outside facilities are good. - Although very basic gym it is quiet so usually ok to use everything. - Most of the staff are very nice and polite - The members are very friendly and welcoming, they are the heart and soul of the place. Cons: - During the refurb of outside, no reduced membership fees for the 30% reduction in facilities. - Several things don't work, don't work as they should, or are unusable. The sauna has been broken for months and is still broken; the indoor jacuzzi has that much chlorine you can only use it for about a minute before your eyes are stinging (I've been advised this is because of the number of shenanigans that go on in there). - Maintenance guy was quite rude when I raised the high chlorine levels with him, he said I was making it up! - The indoor pool temperature fluctuates a lot. - Lots of nice staff leaving. - Zero tolerance to vaping or using mobile phone so be warned. - Attempted robbery on my friend in the changing room this week, whereby 5 people (some were members) grabbed and assaulted my friend while trying to steal his high value jewellery. - Outdoor spa event on 22nd May was not pleasant. What should have been a good concept turned very bad. Members using cocaine and not even wiping the white stuff from under their noses; a female guest that looked like a sex worker was continually sitting on my hand in the jacuzzi. Despite me moving out of the way she moved nearer again to repeat this. It has put me off kebabs for life! She then accused me of being a drug dealer and then said whatever prices I was paying they could undercut it! I found this very embarrassing and highly offensive. She had later taken methadone and was found naked and unconscious in the changing room, and had to be dressed by a member of staff. Her partner who she attended with then collected her by driving over the grass whilst very drunk and then drove home. Another member was so drunk that he had to be carried from poolside to the changing rooms, and was later found outside reception and was lying on the grass. In summary, if you are attending as a guest, it has the potential to be a nice visit, however this is subject to whatever they allow to attend and if things are working, or it could be a very unpleasant or unsafe visit if things don't work and the wrong people are there. As a 5 star establishment, I would expect a consistent spa experience and quality for the premium prices they charge, however consistent is not the word I would use, far from it. Please read other recent reviews for further insight into a visit.

Fantastic venue and the recent addition the zen garden is perfect. The Ozone restaurant is now Geko delicious Japanese food served in calm atmosphere . Staff extremely friendly and go that extra mile. Service: 5

Spa was a huge let down this year unfortunately, I came for my birthday with my boyfriend & we have been quite disappointed in the standards. Firstly, in the steam room with the jacuzzi, the chlorine levels were way too high. We know this because as we were trying to sit down inside the jacuzzi our eyes were stinging to the point it was unbearable and we couldn’t be in there at all. Half the spa was also missing due to the upstairs restaurant being closed off and most the outside area being closed for upgrade work. I understand this is unavoidable but it definitely should’ve been disclaimed and reflected in the price as if I had known there would’ve been so little available, we could’ve chosen elsewhere. The maintenance around the pool is also terrible, cups left everywhere as well as tons of towels all over the beds with no one on them, so that it was to sit down anywhere. The aesthetics of the place are outdated and the service isn’t great at all either. The place has a lot of potential but it’s sad to see that the people who work here clearly don’t care too much about it. The hotel however was lovely and the service was great, the rooms were very well kept. The only other comment I’d have is to please get rid of the horrible flashing LED fountain outside the hall that doesn’t match the theme whatsoever. Service: 3
