Taste was okay, but the crust was way too hard. Also, it's definitely overpriced for the portion size—£6 for a single slice is just too much

Only found out about Pala this week, so as daughter & I like to try somewhere new for picking up lunch, we popped along on Saturday. Lovely little place in an old railway arch (sharing with Twelve Triangles' prep kitchen) with a cool minimalist industrial vibe. There are 4 big freshly-made rectangular pizzas on display on the counter, with lots of little bottles of 2 types of Italian drinks on the shelves below, and in an adjacent chiller cabinet. The chef lets you pick whichever slice of the divided pizza of your choice, and each one is £6. We got two slices of Margherita, a slice of Potato, Garlic and Salsa Verde & one of the Giardiniera (Pecorino, Courgettes, Pickled Chilli and Parmigiano). We also picked up a tub of Tiramisu (so fresh that we had to wait a few minutes extra until they had it ready). The pizza slices were lovely - fresh, crunchy base with a chewy interior & bright, tasty and deliciously different toppings that just left us wanting more. The Tiramisu was also a winner, and so good that the bigytub didn't last long. We'll definitely be back for more before it goes, and we hope it gets a permanent home afterwards as we don't want to lose it now we've found it! Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5
