After a amazing brewery tour we had drinks at the park inn, we noticed signs saying karaoke every Saturday, so we decided to give it a try. Really wish we hadn’t. The night started great Served instantly and friendly nice atmosphere. Put our names in and was called up to sing straight away. Then it all went wrong. We got a table and was approached by two guys who was clearly drunk and they tried taking our drinks. We politely asked them to go away and they did, but no manager or staff seemed interested in the fact two lads were stumbling around clearly drunk, in fact they were served again afterwards. We had put our names in to sing a second time and was told we would be called up. After a hour and notching people were being called up twice we asked the question of are we on the list ? This was greeted by a regular singing and pointing me out whilst singing and said ( iv never known someone so keen to come twice) leaving me confused and embarrassed. I didn’t understand as all i wanted to do was have a sing, the whole point of karaoke. He later apologised and explained the manager was the DJ ( probably paying himself to do it as a kick back ) So I asked again if we was going to sing again? Was told no there was too many singers. The night ended with the manager singing 3/4 songs us feeling totally unwelcome and will never return
