The Broasted chicken and sausage were good. The sides were mid- would not order those again, none of our party of 4 found their sides to be great. Main issue is we went later afternoon- restaurant was not busy but it took just short of an hour for our dinner to arrive at our table.

Extremely upset with our experience, one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. We went at 6pm and were seated by the owner without any warning of a wait. Waited 10 mins for our drink order to be taken, then 20 mins after that for our food order to be taken. At this point there was 4-5 tables including us. Then we waited an hour with no communication on how much longer it would be. So I went and asked how much longer and they said it was being plated and would be out in a minute. So, I sat down and we spent another 15 mins waiting. We stood up to leave, and thats when she brought us the food. We ate, honestly it was not great but we were there for 2 hours and had to get our daughter to bed. Then, the server brought our bill and I asked for a discount due to the huge wait and no communication and the server said she had already asked the owner and he said no because we knew there would be a wait and "well its not like the food was bad". (we were not told of a wait!) Then she said "ohhh the owner sat you" and left to get the owner to talk to us. 10 mins later she came back and said she talked to the owner and "he's sitting right over there" but wouldn't come over. She said he was only willing to give a 10% discount but she talked him into a 15% discount. Our biggest issue was the lack of communication and responsibility from the owner. If we would have been told about a wait, we could have decided whether we were willing to wait or not but we were not given that option. Another young couple with a baby who came before us had to get their food to go and it came out after ours and another table that came even after us. Overall extremely disappointed and unfortunately we won't be back.

Victoria, I’m really sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your visit with us. I’ve spoken to the owner, server, and other staff to get a clear picture. It was Mother’s Day and we were busy! Which for a small business is a GREAT thing but hard to plan for. I looked on our POS system and you were seated at our ONLY available table - on Mother’s Day at 6:16 pm - clearly we were visibly busy. You were served drinks, your meal, your complaint was handled by the server and the owner, a 15% discount was applied to your bill and you checked out at 7:42 pm 1 hour and 26 minutes for a sit down meal at 6:00 pm on MOTHER’S DAY! Our kitchen staff works hard but we’re not fast food. I also trust my staff to handle issues and feel they already addressed your concerns at the time of service. I’ll just copy this response over to your Google review too. Have a great day.

Tried the Mac Attack for takeout around 1pm today (Sunday) and I was extremely disappointed. I ordered the Mac attack dinner meal with both sides being Mac and cheese. I arrived before the food was ready, no worries I was early. There was only one table in the restaurant. Paid and left with my food. My food luke warm and that’s being generous. The shredded cheese topper on the Mac and cheese sides didn’t even melt it was that cold. The sauce was gluey and there weren’t any crispy onions on it like the menu described. This wasn’t the gator bbq I was used to seeing at the county fair. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to return my food or else I would have. For the price point it was entirely underwhelming.

Did you call us? Report to a manager at the time? We would have greatly appreciated that call and would have sent out a fresh Mac Attack. It’s a signature dish for us. I’ll investigate this complaint. Please email me pics and your details info@gatorbbq.ca
