Lovely atmosphere, but I was slightly disappointed given the great reviews. The service was hit and miss. The waitress who looked after us was friendly and attentive, but the rest of the staff weren’t particularly engaged. We asked about the charcuterie board and were told someone would come back to explain it, but no one ever did, so we ended up just ordering the saucisson. One staff member also seemed annoyed that we ordered starters so soon after sitting down, which felt a bit odd. The starters were nice overall, but the bread was disappointing, especially for a French restaurant, and as a French person myself, I expected much better. I ordered my steak rare, but it arrived medium, which is something that really shouldn’t happen. The sauce was delicious though, as were the gnocchi and the lemon pie. We also had to keep asking for tap water (note: during a heatwave..), our outdoor table wobbled throughout the meal, and around half the menu was unavailable, leaving me with fewer choices than I would have liked. Overall, a nice place with good food in parts, but the service and attention to detail didn’t quite match the reputation. Should not be too much to fix! Had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem! It truly makes you feel transported out of the hustle and bustle of central London into an atmosphere of incredible food, stylish decor, and exceptional service. I can’t express enough how obsessed I was with the interior!! it’s absolutely stunning. Such a perfect spot for a girls’ night out. We were looked after by Luigi, who was incredibly attentive and made sure we enjoyed every moment of our evening. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a lovely experience at Paulette last week. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious!! We shared the French onion soup to start, which was the perfect amount as I don’t think I would have been able to eat as much if I had it all. The soup was sweet and the smell itself made my tummy smile. We shared the steak and fries and the beef bourguignon so we got to try a bit of everything and I’m glad we did!! The beef bourguignon had a wonderful caramelised sweetness to it and the potatoes were sooo fresh and perfectly cooked. I’m a sucker for steak and fries and this didn’t disappoint with the tender filet mignon and home cooked fries. We couldn’t leave without dessert despite how full we were so we went for the chocolate flan and crème brûlée, which was the best I’ve ever had - the strong notes of vanilla were perfect for me. I probably wouldn’t get the chocolate flan again as I think the crème brûlée excited my taste buds too much! Despite our best efforts, we couldn’t finish our desserts but woah it was good !! We didn’t book and got a seat as we came just as it opened but it did get busy later on (it’s not very big). Overall, it was a wonderful experience :))) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
