Decor nice, rustic, petrified wood, clean, nice friendly, warm, welcoming, ordered sirloin steak, friend ordered Halloween burger. Skin on fries had nice taste, don't believe they were triple cooked as they were not crispy, blue cheese sauce and the garlic smokey orange sauce on the mushrooms complimented, steak cooked perfectly to taste and good quality, good seasoning too, lovely, chef is obviously experienced, for my taste salad with steak is not my preference, however it was garnished and had taste, so very little to complain about except the price, with sauce it comes a shade under 30, at 30 you can get a amazing steak from at some places, this was very good. For me, price should be about 23 with sauce included. Visit, you won't be disappointed. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I am sorry to hear that the triple cooked chips were not crispy enough, we will certainly be raising this with our kitchen team. I appreciate your kind comments about the steak - the smokey orange sauce is a homemade rarebit and we agree that it does compliment the steak so well! Your friends Halloween burger sounds interesting haha! This must be our halloumi burger which is our favourite vegetarian dish. Our prices do reflect the local sourced produce that we serve and the hard work and care that goes into preparing them, however we do appreciate your feedback on this.Thank you again for your review and we hope to welcome you back again soon!

We visited today to have some lunch and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The set lunch menu was very good value and we opted for the 2 courses for £21.95. The choice was varied and interesting and there would be something to suit most tastes. The portions were generous and beautifully cooked and presented. Our waiter, Harry, was lovely. He was attentive, friendly and very helpful. The pub is a gorgeous location overlooking beautiful scenery and on a lovely day it would be great to sit outside and enjoy a drink and the view. I would absolutely encourage anyone to visit The Peacock at Owler Bar. I would have done my review by using the QR code on our receipt but unfortunately the code given on the bottom of the receipt wasn't recognised. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £20–30 Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to strawberries and was asked as soon as we arrived of any allergies and when served, Harry, the waiter, confirmed there was no trace of strawberries in the food. Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Parking: Beautiful spot. You have to register your car registration on arrival at the bar as the car park is for patrons only.
