Ordered a £50 delivery from Peking Chef in Shildon at 7:20pm. The order was accepted immediately. It is now 10:35pm and the food has still not arrived. We have called four times for an update. The only explanation given was that they needed to contact the driver. On a later call, my wife was told “it’ll be there when it gets there”, then just hung up on her. Which we found dismissive and unhelpful given how long we had already been waiting. This was supposed to be a treat for our children, but after waiting nearly three hours it has reached their bedtime and they have still not received their meal. We were also informed that the food had been out with the driver for around 40 minutes, which raises concerns about the condition and temperature of the food when it eventually arrives. Delays can happen, but good communication and customer service are important. He's physically hung up on us 3 times!? I don't know how he's still open!? Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60

Great Chinese food at very reasonable prices compared to other takeaway food. As a Shildon resident, I've always used this as my go to place for Chinese. In the 8 years I've lived here, I've never had a single bad meal from them. I'd recommend that anyone local or visiting the area gives the a try. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Yikes
Order came quickly and was a reasonable price I thought……. The food was not nice at all. Most of it ended up in the bin!! What a shame.
