Great pub with a lovely beer garden and play area. Staff were amazing amd so helpful when i went in on my own with my baby. Will be back. Lunch menu is great valud. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Once again the Craftaholics enjoyed a superb Christmas meal at the Pendragon Pub in Thornhill. We were a group of 17 and 3 of our group had dietary restrictions which the Pub kindly provided alternative suitable food for which we are sure wasn’t easy on such a busy night so we must offer our grateful thanks to the kitchen staff for accommodating that . We had pre-booked our meals so we arrived at the Pub to find that our large table was beautifully laid up for us with cheery red tablecloth and Christmas decorations to include crackers. It looked very inviting and a good start to our annual Christmas celebration meal. Our group mostly opted for the traditional turkey meal with all the trimmings. The food was delicious. The turkey was moist and succulent. The vegetables were tasty and we were spoilt with the variety : carrots, red cabbage, sprouts, Broccoli stems, all pipping hot and served in hot serving dishes. Cranberry sauce and lashings of tasty gravy, roast potatoes and a Yorkshire completed the meal. All in all an excellent meal which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Dessert options were Christmas pudding, apple pie both provided with generous amounts of creamy custard or ice cream. Both were delicious and rounded off the meal in style. Our thanks must go to the serving staff who looked after us so well on the night. Nothing was too much trouble and their hard work ensured that we all enjoyed a splendid evening. Thank you Pendragon for a great night. We will be back next year! Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
