I put down a £700 deposit for a large group booking for a hen do on a Saturday night. A month and a half out we were told the restaurant would be closed but we could move to their bar with smaller plates and no Isramani party as originally advertised instead, with 3 bottles of cava (for approx 20 people) free. I asked to cancel as it wasn't what we signed up for and they never replied to refund my deposit. I had to get my bank to return my money to me. Overall, they were difficult to get hold of throughout the entire booking. Disappointing experience.

My friends and I visited Penelope's for a birthday celebration, and we chose the Pre-theatre menu. The food absolutely blew me away. I was honestly beyond impressed with the flavour from each dish, and the staff were very lovely and made our experience one to remember. I cannot recommend Penelope's enough! I would say it's definitely worth the price, with a 3 course meal coming up to £32. Staff always ask for any dietary requirements, and food is carefully prepared. The ambience is just amazing, with a gorgeous interior and beautiful lighting to add to it. I have tried all of the food on the pre-theatre menu, and all of it is very filling and I'm left impressed each time I go! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £20–30
