The chicken was certainly gone off, bit into it and it tasted absolutely vile. We had to throw it in the bin as it was this bad, the pittas were stale and chips were burnt. Never had such bad chicken in my life. I called up and the owner was angrily shouting and throwing insults when I had told him about the chicken. No clue how this place is even open especially under the “Peri-Peri” franchise name. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Really disappointed with this order. The chicken was very chewy and hard to eat, the naan bread tasted old and stale, and the chips were hard and not fresh at all. The only decent part of the meal was the lettuce in the pitta, which says a lot. I also paid extra for cheese in both pittas and it was completely missing. Overall the food was very poor quality. First time ordering and unfortunately will be the last. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Dear Peri Peri Original Franchise Team, I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding my recent order from Peri Peri Original, 79 High St S, Dunstable LU6 3SF On December 24th 2025, I placed a phone order to for the following: 2 × chicken breast pita with cheese (meal) 2 × chicken breast pita (no meal) I paid £25.95 by card. When I returned home, I discovered that the pitas contained chicken strips rather than chicken breast, which was not what I expected when ordering chicken breast pita. I returned to the shop immediately to query this. During this visit, I was given two different receipts: The card payment receipt showed the business name " Dunstable Jem Kebab House " The food/order receipt showed " Peri Peri Dunstable " This caused serious concern, as I placed my order with Peri Peri Original, not Jem Kebab. I asked for clarification as to why payment was taken under a different business name, but I did not receive a satisfactory explanation. I also asked whether the food was Halal, and I was told yes. However, I noticed that Budweiser alcohol was being sold on the premises, which I have never seen at Peri Peri Original stores before. This added further concern and confusion. As the food supplied did not match what I believed I had ordered, I returned the food unopened and requested a refund. This request was refused, and the police were called. The police attended and confirmed that this was a civil matter. I am therefore requesting: A full refund of £25.95 from you "peri Peri Orignal" An explanation as to why card payments are being processed under a different business name Confirmation that the Dunstable branch is operating in line with Peri Peri Original franchise standards, including clarity on menu items and Halal assurances I have attached copies of both receipts and am happy to provide them if required. I would appreciate a response within 7 days. If this matter cannot be resolved, I will have no option but to pursue the issue further through Trading Standards and the local Dunstable Council. I look forward to your prompt response. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
