I never got around to posting a review for our visit two years ago. Shame on me, the owner was wonderful and an amazing cook to boot. We unknowingly booked during the Rhine Aflame festivities that year (2016) and were lucky to find a place at all. I asked him if it was possible to book one of the tour boats so my wife and I could view the fireworks from the river, fully expecting everything would be booked. He contacted the owner of one of the local tour lines and was able to secure two seats for us. I've previously lived a total of 12 years in Germany and I can say with certainty that the rooms and baths were commensurate with the vast majority of those we've stayed in throughout Germany. You could see the castle ruin across the river while laying in bed in the morning. We plan on visiting Germany again in 2019 and it is my hope we will be able to spend time again at Perle am Rhein, this time with friends.
