2nd time experiencing extreme rudeness the last time at 10 pm we were asked to leave as they were going to do a deep clean on a Saturday evening when they are clearly open till 11 o’clock the food has always been okay but it is overly bright and very noisy eith tabkes very packed in . Staff are really rude and the entrance into the building and the loos are really are dirty. This time was the last time we will go there as we walked in when it was very busy struggled to get anyone’s attention. We’d booked a table requested by the window and we were taken to the worst table in the place in a corner by the kitchen entrance. We politely asked to be moved to the table that we’ve reserved and we’re point blank refused and were told it was reserved and we said yes we reserved it because we’ve got email confirmation but they wouldn’t having it so we walked out of the restaurant and will not be returning. I think they’ve got too big for their boots but really they don’t have the standard of food that warrants thinking that they can treat their customers like this . Arrogance will be their downfall . We love Pheriwala. We have been a few times now, each time travelling 200 miles from York. (Well, OK, our son lives near Tring). But we make a point of having a family meal here. It's authentic 'street food', lovely Chennai and Kerala specialities, perfectly prepared, well-balanced and subtle flavours. The staff are all knowledgeable and helpful, the atmosphere relaxed and informal. We unreservedly recommend Pheriwala for your next Indian, anywhere within a 200 mile radius. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Price per person: £30–40 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking: Parking is free after 6pm

Disgraceful. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
I ordered online 2 hours before my specified delivery time. My specified delivery time came and went. 15 minutes later I called the restaurant "we are very busy tonight, your delivery is just around the corner". Another 15 minutes passed and still no food. I called again "yea it's on its way". Another 15 minutes passed "we just have to cook your naan bread". So basically they had been lying to me. Our food turned up a HOUR after it was meant to. It even said the original delivery time on the food.

The naan was hot, rest of it was stone cold.

They said they would refund 50% of the cost of the meal, this still hasn't happened 7 days later.

This place is a shambles, full of broken promises. I understand they are busy but I ordered my food 2 hours before I wanted it delivered. Sure order from here, if you want your food a hour late.
