Small little food court style restaurant located inside the Bountiful farmers market. Best birria tacos we have ever had, the aux jus comes in a little cup that I always drink the leftovers after eating. Spicy salsa Verde is also awesome with a nice kick to it. The chillequilles were a great choice this time around as well. We haven't ever been disappointed in the food at all the 4 times we have ate here. Service and location only get 4 stars due to food court style set up. If it was a stand alone restaurant it would be a 5 star. Love eating here! Every time I go to bountiful market, this is where I eat. Everything I’ve had here is amazing tons of flavor. The sauces are really good. Birria tacos normally places give you 3 tiny ones for $18-20 but here you get 4 huge ones and a full cup of consume for $19. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $10–20 Dietary restrictions: Has gluten free options

Pikante is easily one of the best spots in Edmonton if you’re craving authentic Mexican flavors. The birria tacos are absolutely outstanding, perfectly tender, rich, and packed with flavor. They come with that delicious dipping consommé that takes the tacos to the next level. Every bite is savory, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. The guacamole is another highlight. It tastes freshly made with bright flavors and the perfect balance of lime, salt, and creamy avocado. It’s simple but done really well, which makes it hard to stop eating. We also tried the pico de gallo, and it was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. The tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and lime were perfectly balanced and complemented the dishes beautifully. The food comes out quickly, and you can tell they care about quality and authentic flavors. If you’re in Edmonton and love Mexican food, Pikante is definitely worth visiting, especially if you’re a fan of birria tacos. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back!
