Like it. Sunday Lunch booking. Friendly greeting from a front of house chappie who explained the setup, ordered what we wanted at the bar and waited for our beeper to let us know food was up - about 15mins. Couple helpers brought the rest out and we then tucked in to well presented and very flavourful food with a Middle Eastern influence. Over ordered so will know for next time and bring help. Crisp pint of Deya kept us calm in the shade as waves of the Cotswolds finest rolled up. Very relaxed, good tunes, great view and full tums. Will return. First visit here, didnt really know what to expect. The venue has beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The dining area consists of large shared tables with benches. With a mix of under cover and open air. The menu is short, but very tasty, we were a party of four and shared a lot of the dishes. The bar has some very nice Deya brewery beers on draught, a selection of wines and some premixed cocktails. Soft drinks are also available. Its a popular venue, and deservedly so! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes

Booked this as a date night treat for my wife and I on a Saturday evening. The online booking process was easy enough, though they do require a card hold for a £30 no-show fee—a little frustrating, but not a deal breaker. Arriving was smooth with ample parking on site. We were warmly welcomed by a staff member who explained the ordering and seating process clearly. You order at the bar, grab a buzzer for your food, and head out to the shared outdoor benches. The atmosphere and general vibes are great, offering some lovely views. However, it's worth keeping in mind that it is essentially a shed on a farm. Because of that, you do get the occasional whiff of feces (we assume human, from the on site toilet arrangement) drifting across, which isn't the most appetizing thing while trying to eat, but we plowed through! The drink selection is excellent. I was thrilled to see Deya beers on tap—you can't go wrong with a pint of Steady Rolling Man (£7.80). My wife opted for the Wildflower Spritz, which at £13 felt very overpriced for what it was. To add to that, you have to go and get your own food and cutlery. Sounds pretentious but at that price, there should be service to cover this. When our buzzer went off, we grabbed our order: Persian Chicken Thigh Flatbread (£17.50) Crispy Bahrat Lamb Rolls (£12.00) Grilled Halloumi Plate (£13.70) Total bill (including drinks and a 5% tip) came to £66.67. While the food was genuinely yummy, well-cooked, and nicely presented, we were absolutely shocked by the portion sizes. For £17.50, the "chicken thighs" were more like a tiny chicken sliver. The portions across the board were just ridiculously small for the price tag. See attached image for what £66.67 buys! We left feeling pretty disheartened and honestly still hungry—so much so that we're heading out to a different restaurant tonight just to make up for it. See attached image for what you can get for a similar price at a similar 'restaurant'. I understand that it's near the Cotswolds, it's a "vibey" spot, and you're paying for the view, but the price-to--food ratio here is mental. Would highly recommend Pit Kitchen if you just want to go for drinks, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy the scenery. But if you're planning to eat, make sure you have a massive wallet and a very small appetite.
