We had a fantastic time at Pizza Express East Grinstead. The staff is incredibly welcoming and Maria the manager is particularly caring and friendly. It’s not our first visit and we always enjoy ourselves. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £80–90 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes, Not sure Dietary restrictions: They are careful with any allergies or restrictions, and it’s the first question they ask when you get there.

Over the past two decades, I have travelled extensively across several countries and dined at many restaurants. Until now, I have never felt compelled to write a review of this nature. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I have had at a Pizza Express branch, at East Grinstead. Upon arrival, we were directed to a four-seater table. However, the waitress who attended to us did not appear welcoming or pleased to serve us, which immediately created an uncomfortable atmosphere. We waited patiently for approximately 10–15 minutes before placing our order: * Triple Chilli Chicken Wings * ‘Marry Me’ Chicken Pizza * American Hot Pizza * 4 drinks The food was delivered by another waitress within 15–20 minutes. Unfortunately, the serving plates provided were visibly dirty and had to be replaced. The second plate was oily and also needed changing. This gave the impression that the plates may not have been cleaned properly between customers, which was extremely concerning. Later, when we requested additional garlic sauce, the waitress appeared irritated and brought a completely different sauce instead of the one originally served. To make matters worse, after finishing our meal, I attempted to use the restroom but was unable to wash my hands properly because the water pressure was extremely low. Overall, what was meant to be a pleasant evening turned into a very disappointing experience. The combination of poor service, hygiene concerns, and inadequate facilities left a very negative impression. I hope Pizza Express takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving customer experience and service standards. @PizzaExpress Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I visited the Pizza Express in East Grinstead at the weekend and I have to say I was very disappointed with the food and more importantly the service! The staff were more interested in talking around the till to each other (and that was the main waitress I assume manager) than servicing the tables very dismissive with requests. The pizzas looked rushed with minimal toppings. You can’t get pizza wrong but the whole experience at this restaurant was poor! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
