We got the supreme original pork loin katsu, it was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The vibe of this place is really nice too. Great service and food! We will be coming again. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had lunch here to try the katsu. Ordered a cold soba noodle with a pork katsu. Katsu was light and tasty and the cabbage salad dressing was delicious! Soba noodles were perfectly chewy and bouncy and the broth was lightly seasoned and refreshing. After eating a katsu piece, I’d have a bite of soba noodles to cleanse my palate. Would like to try other items here as the katsu selection is huge- cheese, fish, pork, or chicken with a choice of sauces and add ons. Plenty of free parking and the atmosphere is dark like a pub and not too loud which allows us to have conversation. The sign says katsuya but you enter though Pizza Maru doors. Unsure if this will change in future. Update: ate here for dinner with a curry fish katsu and the curry was excellent. Smooth, mellow, rich and nothing like spicy Indian or Caribbean curry. Give it a try! We also shared a takoyaki which was very good sans my friend had the chicken carbonara katsu which he loved. Must-try: sweet potato honey pizza and the katsu curry set! The ambiance is amazing—super cozy and perfect for gathering with family or hanging out with friends. It’s a great spot to bring kids for a relaxed brunch, and at night it transforms into a fun place to unwind with a bottle of soju after a long week.
