After more than 15 minutes, I received my order and shook what felt like a HALF EMPTY container, still keeping The faith I thanked her and left, she simply nodded as she was immersed in a very loud and personal telephone call.
Then I returned to my workplace, only for me to see a catastrophe. I was not given suya, i was given a childlike portion of oversized bits of fried meat with chilli powder.
The meat was smothered in onions and also did not seem to be fresh. I tried half of a piece, and could not believe what I was eating. The meat was hard, tasteless and dry. In disappointment, I went to KFC with the last few moments of lunch I had left. In concern, my colleagues approached me and asked why I haven't eaten the food I first bought. Once they saw the food themselves (after bursts of laughter), they all encouraged me to return the food, so I got the courage to do so.
When I returned and politely explained that I was not satisfied, the owner was furious! She accused me of eating half of the food, claimed that I am making her lose money as a small business, angrily stuffed the food in the bin, questioned if I have ever had suya before, slammed my money on the table and told me to never come back!
Trust me, she doesn't need to tell me twice.
BOTTOM LINE: RUN AS FAR AS YOUR LEGS CAN CARRY YOU.
