Fantastyczne miejsce z menu degustacyjnym. Feria smaków dla podniebienia. Bardzo duży wybór win. Fachowe doradztwo somelierów. Swobodna i przyjazna atmosfera. Będąc pierwszy raz masz poczucie jak byś był w rodzinie. We’re real foodies and frequently seek out exciting new places to eat. So you can imagine how excited we were to be able to get a table last Friday evening. We were greeted and seated quickly. Interesting edgy vibes. Love it. Our server advised us on the numbers of small, medium and large plates we should order to share between the four of us (3 small ladies 1 average size man). We ordered John Dory, chicken sugar snap, razor clam tartlets, Lobster rice and melon soup with scallop. We had multiple plates of each selection as advised. Small plates came, small portions but acceptable - it is a small plate. Medium plates came, not much bigger. Ok? Surely the large plates (‘main’) will be bigger? No, no, no… Every plate was the tiniest morsel of food. They were cooked beautifully - nice flavours but so tiny it didn’t give my tastebuds a chance to savour it! To top it off, we were told by our server as she handed us the dessert menu (1hour 40 minutes since we were seated) that they needed our table in 20 minutes as they have a second seating! It’s a conveyor belt and they were getting in as many people as they can in one service! Disappointed by this and still very hungry, we paid £400 and went down to the road looking for another dinner. We have never ever have to do this before. There is so much hype and excitement about this restaurant and chef, but I think it’s overrated and he seriously need to revisit his portion sizes however delicious they may be. P.S. yes, we do go to Michelin Star restaurants which serve small delicious portions, but not so tiny it becomes ridiculous!). Had a fantastic experience at Planque sampling a large selection from the menu with a group of friends. Service staff were friendly, knowledgeable and timing of interactions was on point. The food was everything we hoped for. Highlights were the Tuna Fricassée, Guinea Fowl Rillettes, Veal Sweetbreads and of course the Wigmore Ice Cream dessert. Great location and highly recommended if you want to a fine dining experience beyond the lights of soho and the tourists traps in london. Unfortunately i am not a wine drinker, however the rest of the group enjoyed the list and variety. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £100+
