This is our go to cafe in Macclesfield, the food is superb and the staff are always very friendly. The icing on the cake is that our dogs are allowed in and made to feel welcome with the occasional sausage! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes

We called in at Plums for breakfast on a Treacle Market Sunday morning - six adults, one pram and a mutt - but the staff were unphased and we were quickly seated. The breakfast menu is excellent and we chose a range of dishes - full english, hash, Turkish eggs and granola and all were superb. Freshly prepared the food was lovely [the eggs were delicious] and the coffee was great - the only disappointment is we are not more local to take advantage of the wide choice of sandwiches and reasonably priced lunchtime specials. Hightly recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
