Very warm welcome and staff was super kind, evening receptionist was helpful and attentive as well as the manager Tim attending to guests quickly. Nice and clean room to boot and a very quiet sleep despite being next to the train station. Breakfast seemed better than previous stays at other locations. I will be very pleased to stay again on my next Harrogate trip! Service: 5

This a nice quiet location, rooms fine and some being upgraded. What makes it is the staff. The manager, a young man called Tim is a very conscientious hardworking guy. His manner with guests is very respectful and accommodating. I am a wheelchair user and he was always available, friendly, interesting to talk to and would do whatever he cpuld for you, including moving me to another room when there were some excessively noisy guests above me. I requested the move because sometimes people are just inadvertently load and maybe not aware. Tim's professional manner rubs off on the other staff too from Simkn, Ruth and all the others Conduct themselves in a quiet humble efficient and professional manner. Ive staid in a lot of hotels, from exclusive to bargain basement and this is as near perfection for staff of all the rest. A real gem. Service: 5

We as a family had booked 4 rooms. We were all there at the same time & there was many more bookings guests in front of us & behind us. We waited so long. There was only one staff member on reception who was also doing other multiple tasks. It was becoming obvious that there was very limited staff. Our rooms were clean but lots of damage to walls. I believe it's getting ready for a refurbish. We all went to the restaurant for our team. Food was nice, some not very warm. Again one woman doing all the cooking. The restaurant is very small for the size of the hotel. The breakfast wasn't great, a number of our party felt the bacon was off, this was reported & staff apologetic. Most of the food was cold, again, one person doing all the cooking. The bread is frozen so only suitable for toast. When leaving we were looking for the box to drop our room keys in. No sign so again we had to queue. A family in front were checking in & this took a while. We asked when we were next where was the box. He said, 'o this one? & lifted it from under the desk. I also advised him all the televisions in the 4 rooms didn't work. His response was, 'many guests have said that, think the ariels been sabotaged'. For all the issues the staff were lovely but we won't be staying there again. I've stayed at many Premier inns around the country & we all agreed this was definitely the worst. Service: 3
