Just want to say how wonderful Claire, Dee & the rest of the Widnes premier inn staff have been, they have gone above & beyond to help & make sure me & family were ok. Even the housekeeping staff knocked to make sure we was ok. We will be forever grateful for everything the staff did to help us through our difficult time. They truly are the best and deserve a massive shout out for there compassion and kindness. Service: 5

I stayed here for 2 nights this week while visiting from London to attend a family members funeral. Although a sad reason to be visiting, we had a lovely stay in the actual hotel. The room was clean and had everything my daughter and I needed. Every staff member I encountered was lovely. I booked early check in and my room was ready on arrival so we didn’t have to hang around. I also booked the breakfast in the mornings for across the road at the brewers fayre which was great. The hot food was fresh and hot both mornings and the continental selection was great as well. And the staff members there were all lovely and helpful as well. Location of the hotel was perfect for us as close to all the family I was visiting and my daughter enjoyed having the bowling alley and other amenities there so she could go and play in the arcade in the evenings. My only tiny issue is that I either had an elephant above me or the floors are extremely thin as I was awoken every morning by upstairs stamping along to the bathroom but apart from that there was no other noise issues at all. Already planning to book our next visit to stay and see my family Service: 5

I stayed at Premier Inn in Widnes on a business trip and overall had a really good experience. The location is excellent as it sits within a retail park, so there is loads to do nearby. You have McDonald’s, a huge Tesco superstore, B and M, Wickes and Costa all within very close walking distance, plus BrewDog just across the road. From a location and parking point of view, it is absolutely fantastic and very convenient. Check in was really easy and straightforward, which is ideal when travelling for work. One thing I really loved was the dining and reception area where they have plenty of teabags, milk and sugar available for guests to help themselves. This was a big plus for me as I like a really milky cup of tea and there is never enough milk provided in hotel rooms, so being able to grab extra was brilliant. The room itself was standard Premier Inn quality, which is exactly what you expect. It was clean, comfortable and quiet, making it a good place to rest after a busy day. The only real downside was that there were no USB charging ports in the room. I do not usually travel with a plug as most hotels now have USB ports, so this felt a bit outdated and was inconvenient. It is something that could definitely do with updating. Overall, it is a solid Premier Inn with a great location, easy parking and a comfortable stay. Aside from the lack of USB charging, I would happily stay here again for work. Service: 5
