I have been to many Indian restaurants and this is one of my top 2! Such a shame it's a 2 hour journey otherwise this would be my go to to eat out. Came as 3 adults and 2 children. Cleanliness, attentiveness and the general vibe of the place was just a excellent all rounder. Knowing from what we ordered that specific items were for the kids, they asked if they would rather that come out first with the starters ordered despite it being a main as they know children can be quite restless with dining out. Papadums alongside with salad and sauces that came with it - each one was a nice and even a unique coconut crumb I have never experienced before that was delicious. All mains were generous portions, and each meal, side and rice was absolutely delicious. If anything, one rice would be enough between 2 people, especially when ordering a main, naan and even sides alongside it. They even customised a garlic naan to add cheese which was requested which was no problem. Staff were so polite and welcoming. Informative when necessary to what dishes were what and never tried to force more expensive items just because we weren't aware of what things were. The staff and chef should be so proud of their work here and will definitely be recommending this place to other people when I know they're in the area. They were engaging with the kids and gave them complimentary chocolates at the end. It is very hard to get 3 adults (even the kids) seal of approve. The lamb is something I would highly suggest - was literally like butter! Thank you to this establishment and hope to see you in the near future. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a terrible experience at Prithi Cuisine in Ewell Road Surbiton. We had a table.booked.for 14.for my brothers birthday. It was booked well in advance but when we arrived they had no knowledge of there being a booking for 14 and thought it was for 10. They insisted that 10 could sit on one large table and the other 4 had to sit on another table. Even though there were plenty of empty tables (our table was booked for 6pm so early) they said they couldn't move any tables together. The service was absolutely awful and we waited nearly 45 mins for our starter and nearly two hours for our main food. The restaurant got very busy and it was clear they were short staffed. They also had lots of takeaway orders as the phone was ringing very loudly and constantly throughout our whole meal. They didn't seem to able to cope with takeaway orders and serving meals. My husbands beer was flat, my daughters coke was flat. The food was okay but very mediocre. My husband also found a hair in his curry. The alarm went off in the middle of the restaurant and the waiters were very stressed and couldn't seem to stop it for a good while. We complained about the service and they apologised and said because we were a large group ot was difficult! Very poor excuse. We were offered a free drink but we just wanted to get out of there. We have been there yesterday for the first time. We were warmly welcomed, and the gentleman took our order swiftly. They also asked if we wanted some papadoums ( hope I spelled it right) as appetisers. Food took a bit to arrive which is a very good sign as it’s freshly cooked. Food was very good and portions generous. The staff wasn’t pushy like you find so often in restaurants and ask if all is ok. We could hear a couple which comes to this restaurant over 10 years and that mean something! Everything is reasonably priced and not to expensive. We definitely would come back as their menu is rather big. Only one thing I would suggest. Why not play a bit of calming Indian music in the background to enhance the atmosphere?Once again thank you very much to the team!!!
