Visited Puffelly on a Saturday evening with my partner and mother, and overall it was a decent experience with some real highlights. The atmosphere was great - lively music gave the place a fun, upbeat vibe, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Despite what seemed like a busy service with plenty of customers coming and going, our food arrived in around 15-20 minutes, which was impressive. Between the three of us we ordered the Forest Burger meal, the Southern Fried Chicken 5-piece meal, and the Grilled Chicken Quarter meal. The fries were a standout - beautifully cooked and an incredibly generous portion (almost overwhelmingly so, but that’s hardly a complaint!). The Forest Burger itself was a solid half-pounder, though the bacon was a touch on the salty side for my personal taste. The Southern Fried Chicken was lovely and moist, though the herby flavour in the breading wasn’t quite our thing - that said, if you’re a fan of bold herby seasoning, you’ll probably love it! The grilled chicken was also nicely cooked and moist, though carried a little more lemon flavouring than we personally preferred - again, for lemon lovers this could be a real winner. The menu is extensive, which is great for groups with varied tastes and will no doubt appeal to a wide range of people. All in all, a really pleasant evening out. The service and atmosphere are genuinely lovely, and any flavour preferences mentioned are purely down to our own tastes - others will likely find the food absolutely spot on. Definitely the best food in Gloucestershire! They have a huge selection to choose from, fried chicken, pizzas, kebabs, burgers, freshly grilled chicken, something for everyone! I especially like the shawarma. No wait for a table because they have such a large eating area both indoors and outdoors. Super fast service. The staff were really friendly, you can tell it's quality food and and there's an excellent welcoming atmosphere. Everything there is made fresh to order which is a massive plus for me.
