I've visited this Purdy's location before, and the experience has varied significantly depending on who is working. On a previous visit, a younger employee was welcoming, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately, today's experience was the complete opposite. The employee who served me was dismissive, cold, and came across as though she wanted to move on to the customer behind me as quickly as possible. I tried to keep the interaction light and friendly, but she remained standoffish. At the same time, I observed her being noticeably warmer and more pleasant with other customers. I left feeling that I was treated differently. I cannot know the reason for that, but the contrast was significant enough that it left me questioning whether bias played a role. Purdy's promotes itself as a proud Canadian chocolatier, and I expected the values of respect, inclusivity, and good customer service to be reflected in my experience. Unfortunately, that was not what I encountered today. Because of this experience, I don't expect to return to this particular location when there are other Purdy's stores that have consistently provided the level of service I associate with the company's reputation. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that every customer is treated with the same courtesy and professionalism
