Visited Saturday March 21sr. My partner used to come here when he was younger and we were in the area .. cute place that deserved to be busier on a sunny Saturday lunch time. The menu is not extensive but we shared a simple fish finger ciabata as we were in that type of mood and it was perfect for us Served with a nice fresh zingy salad . Friendly staff and it was good. to hear that Sunday lunches were back on the menu . We will be back for that. Only downgraded atmosphere score as we were the only people in that secluded sunny garden and it was a joy to have it to ourselves but it would not be fair to say it had atmosphere that day . Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We booked a table for 4 of us for Sunday lunch. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel very welcome. Then 3 of us had the roast and the other the veggie Wellington. The food arrived in a really nice time and really nicely cooked as well. Some of us asked if we could have custard with the crumble for pudding, instead of cream and again, this wasn't a problem. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and pub look. Would I recommend it to a friend or go back again. Oh yes. Thank you for your hospitality. Lovely Sunday Roast We popped into the Ramblers Rest on Sunday and were really pleased to see Sunday roast back on the menu. Had a couple of starters to share, creamy Stilton mushroom on ciabatta and also the pate of which both were really good. For the main event we had roast beef and the roast chicken and both were lovely. Plenty of veg and a fab Yorkshire pudding. There were a couple of choices for dessert, biscoff cheesecake which was delicious, and chocolate brownie, also delicious. Lovely lunch all round.
