A lot of potential with a great range of books and an amazing concept to only include female authors. However, the member of staff that greeted us was not friendly and was cold. It was a bizarre experience and felt slightly awkward browsing books whilst people drank coffee beside you. Should add labels to cakes so the server doesn’t have to recite the entire menu whilst you stand there trying to take it all in. Real shame was really excited about going and had seen a lot of hype online. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Lol you can't please everyone! Customers love sitting amongst the books and are usually more than happy to move to allow people to see the books. The cakes are not labelled as they change on a daily basis. Again most customers enjoy the experience of being 'talked through the cakes'..it's a personal touch. You could have just pointed out the one that grabbed your attention. I'm sorry if the member of staff seemed cold and I will certainly talk to them but maybe they were feeding off your vibe. I know this may seem like a rude reply but I think it's very easy to be an anonymous keyboard warrior...why didn't you say anything to us face to face?!!

Is there anything better in the world than books, coffee and cake. Well possibly, but the ReadingLasses combines the 3 so well. A cosy bookshop/cafe combination done so well, rooms of book shelves and chesterfield sofas, and a cake counter of amazement. There were many choices of cake, traybakes and scones and a good selection of accompanying drinks. This is a place of wonder, and well worth a visit.
