A great local pub with a fantastic landlord and landlady. The food is excellent, and there’s a real good variety in styles between the lounge, the bar and the dining area. For many years the Red Cow suffered from poor management by the brewery. Since the current incumbents have been in charge it’s gone from strength to strength. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Our first visit to the red cow at Allestree. A fantastic menu choice. We decided to choose the 3 course light bite menu - high quality home cooked food at incredible value for money. Becky our waitress was so good in talking us through each menu and highlighting all of the events the pub do and have coming up. A pub we’ll definitely return to.
