Stayed at the Red Dog Inn in the summer of 2024 and it was more or less what I expected. The room was dated but clean. There were a few other patrons the night we stayed but no one who looked unsavory. The "dining room overlooking Lake Superior" mentioned on the website had been intriguing unfortunately there was no life in it when we arrived. The situation with returning keys was somewhat confusing as there was a return box yet everyone else seemed to have just left their keys on top of a post. Wasn't sure what to do and didn't want an additional charge so I followed suit. Overall it was fine - what you would expect from a motel in a small town. But nothing about the stay was especially noteworthy or remarkable.
