There were some drunk agricultural students in there with a dog off a lead - supposedly it's a 'local' dog which has its own rules. They kept trying to stroke my dog (which was on a lead) despite me telling them it doesn't like being stroked. Supposedly my dog bit one of them and she had a bloody finger after "she tried to get her dog away from my dog" (her dog off a lead coming over to mine) although there was no evidence of this as I was completely sober and watching at all times. According to the management I'm in the wrong and they can do whatever they want. I was completely gobsmacked. I asked the woman in charge what I should do and she said "keep the dog away from people" - well how much further away do I need to be than in the smoking area, stood on my own, 5 metres away from anyone? They're coming over to me, but that's my fault? Can adults not take responsibility for their own actions these days? Obviously this pub has got a clique to please. Never again will myself or my family go there.

Just had an amazing Jamaican takeaway from The Red Lion and it was the best takeaway we have had since the pandemic struck in March. Beautiful flavours and really well made. Thanks!!
