We got a lovely suite with everything we needed :) Staff was very friendly and they made sure to cater to our dietary requirements too. Live music was also great! We were also travelling with bikes and they offered us a place to store them safely. Was very appreciative of that. I honestly should book another weekend there soon. Service: 5

My partner and I ordered the Full English breakfasts for myself and my son, while she had the smaller breakfast. At around £17 each, we expected a generous, well-presented meal, but what arrived was quite shocking. The portion sizes were extremely small and nowhere near what you would expect from a Full English at this price point. We were each served just half a small grilled tomato, and the mushrooms amounted to only a few tiny pieces. The baked beans came in a small pot containing roughly a tablespoon of beans, which seemed ridiculous considering a Full English breakfast is supposed to be a hearty meal. The sausages were probably the best part of the breakfast and were quite tasty, but unfortunately they weren't enough to make up for the rest of the plate. The food itself wasn't terrible, but the main issue was the lack of value for money. Paying around £17 per person for such small portions felt excessive and left us feeling disappointed. We both finished our breakfasts feeling as though we'd barely eaten. To make matters worse, no one even asked us how the meal was. What made it even more frustrating was that we had been looking forward to trying this place and had high expectations based on what we'd heard. Instead, we left feeling underwhelmed and questioning how the portion sizes could justify the prices being charged. Let's face it: bread, beans, and mushrooms are among the cheapest breakfast ingredients, so to scrimp on those items was particularly disappointing. Sadly, we won't be rushing back. There are plenty of other cafés and tea rooms offering far better value and more substantial breakfasts for less money. Looking back, I wish we had gone next door to the Tea Cosy Tea Room instead. Overall, it was a disappointing visit and poor value for money. The portions need to be significantly improved if the prices are going to remain at this level.

Great little pub with a nice atmosphere. Band was on when we visited which made for a nice evening. Friendly staff and not too overpriced like some of the other pubs in the area. Will be back soon
