What a beautiful cozy little country pub. The staff are extremely welcoming, we called after a lovely walk around the nearby reservoirs and had sunday lunch and it was exceptional! Perfect portions and a nice relaxed atmosphere. We will definately return soon.

We travelled from the North East and called to the Red Lion in Whitworth Lancashire on Saturday 5th September with our Daughter Soffie and her boyfriend Luke, for food, honestly, what an amazing evening we had. The food was outstanding, we all chose different meals and every meal was superbly cooked and so tasty. I would recommend the beefy loaded chips, the beef and black pudding pie and the cheese pie. The live music entertained us all evening, The Vines, wow, I will be back next time you are performing at The Red Lion. Our little dog Ruby-Rose met the one and only Ruby Taylor, we were made so welcome and can’t wait to see you all again. Outstanding food, outstanding hospitality and outstanding entertainment from The Vines AND Ruby Taylor. Thank you. Xxx

I had such a wonderful time at The Red Lion Inn! The food was absolutely amazing, the staff (especially Jack Barrett) were so friendly and accommodating, and I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the location was. It's the ideal spot for a weekend retreat or just to enjoy a delicious meal and a nice cold pint. Highly recommend it, can't wait to come back! Service: 5
