Always have and always will be a regular at the best pub in Stevenage, the mighty Red Lion! Staff are amazing and the atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. The juke box is a lovely bonus and the live music scene here just makes it incredible. Price per person: £20–30 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The pub and beer garden are lovely. We stopped in for a drink during our evening in Stevenage, and I was handed a double "disaronno" and coke. Once I had sat down and tried it, I discovered that the shot measure had clearly not been cleaned and my drink tasted like rum/vodka/old gin featuring disaronno. It was like a bad long island iced tea. We went back to the bar and asked for a fresh one that didn't taste of everything. I witnessed 2 members of staff try my drink, to then tell me it's fine and expect me to drink it after watching them both try it. The manager came over after I asked for a refund on my drink out of principal because we had just paid £16 for 2 drinks, one of which was a pint that is flat. The 'manager' just grunted and said "it tastes like disaronno". I work in a pub myself, if a guest complained stating a drink that they drink REGULARLY tasted wrong, we would just offer them a new one, and none of the staff would try their drink and then expect them to drink it afterwards!
