Over very many years we have visited the Red Rose restaurant. Although we have visited nearly all Indian restaurants in & around Reading over a 30+ year period the Red Rose has always been our no. 1 choice - why, simple, the food has, without fail, delivered on taste, authenticity & presentation. The Red Rose has seen numerous owners over the years with different owners & staff. The current owner/manager & staff couldn’t be more welcoming, friendly but professional. The current owner/manager is an incredible host & entertained us all evening with some Asian jokes. We visited twice in a single week, first visit was with family members, the smaller second visit was with just my wife & daughter. On both occasions we were served by a quite smiling very attentive young waiter who has worked at the Red Rose for several years, couldn’t have had any better service! Food, we had approx. 10 different dishes (mains & sides), each one with their own distinct taste & cooked to perfection. Thanks to the guys in the kitchen who obviously know what they are doing & obviously care about what leaves the kitchen via the trolley. So, does the Red Rose deserve a 5* review - definitely not! Does the Red Rose deserve a 10* review - most definitely! Ps. The bill lists all the dishes served along with its price. No service charge is added - my personal pet hate, prefer to leave a tip based on experience of the occasion. Pps.
