Reliable local takeaway with good value I’ve been ordering from Silver Seas Chinese Takeaway for years and usually order through the Just Eat app. The food itself has been consistent over time and generally arrives in good condition. Delivery has been mixed. While orders usually turn up within a reasonable window, the estimated times don’t always line up clearly, and there isn’t live tracking. On a few occasions the driver has knocked on the window rather than using the doorbell, which can be easy to miss depending on where you are in the house. In terms of the food, it’s solid and above average for a local takeaway. I often order the Singapore fried rice and salt and pepper ribs, and the kitchen is usually happy to make things spicier if requested in the notes, although having a spice-level option in the app would be useful. The biggest strength here is pricing. Compared to nearby takeaways, the value for money is very good, and while there may be places with slightly higher-quality dishes, the difference hasn’t felt big enough to justify the extra cost.
