Lovely Sunday lunch at the Reindeer, we had the beef and pork belly, it was very tasty and very filling, but just managed to fit a dessert in and glad we did! The service was excellent and the new manger said they are launching a new menu very soon, we will definitely be back to try it! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

My friend is going back to New York and so I wanted to find somewhere with home cooked food at a reasonable price near Newark and the Reindeer at Long Bennington was perfect. She had the brisket with mashed potatoes served with a savory biscuit and American style gravy, I had the pie of the day with mash and fresh cabbage and gravy. The food was so well flavoured that it tasted chef cooked and it was. We ate it all despite generous portions as we were both super hungry. Add in the happiest friendliest staff which sorted out my booking and we left feeling like family. The mark down in one point for the atmosphere is that the place was not very busy so please use it as it was well worth the money and I would hate not to be able to go back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £20–30
